"CANINE CAPERS"

Some say "A house is not a home without a dog." At "Our World", we tend to agree that all pets are what make our houses into 'homes'.  So, we have devoted this page specifically to honor all dogs--"man's best friend"(and woman's too!).

NEW CAR SEAT!!

HAVE YOU EVER?  Tanya and Michael's Felix and Sophie take their new car safety seat out for a test drive!  'Mommy' Tanya adapted a standard 'human' baby car safety seat using harnesses and key rings as 'slides' to secure her 'babies' safely into their very own regulation doggie 'safety seat'!  Felix is yawning with boredom at all the 'hoopla' over Mommy's new invention, while sister Sophie is wondering why that 'frilly' contraption on the top isn't keeping the sun out of her eyes!  "C'mon, Mom, either get us a window shade or how about a kewl set of 'shades' for our eyes, huh, Mom, huh?"  No matter the sun--these 'fur-babies' are AAA approved for car safety!!!  Now all they need is their own CELL PHONE and they'll look like everyone else on the freeway!!

 But, Mommy calls her the 'sock' puppy!

BUT!!

All this time we thought 'our' Mommy, Tanya, invented this neat car seat until she finally fessed-up the other day and admitted it was really Pixie Girl's Mom, Deb, from Australia!  BAD MOMMY!! (No wonder the sun's in our eyes!  We need to be on the other side of the world like Pixie Girl, uh, don't we Mom?)

New "Mommy", Val of Oceanside sent us this very artistic rendering of her new 'rescue' baby (from Tanya!)--Baylee (aka: Pepe).  Since "Mom" is a dispatcher for the Oceanside Police Department, guess she figured Baylee needed a good 'cover' provided by the Mickey Mouse face in this photo!  Baylee does seem to be 'in hiding', don't you agree?  Wonder why?

HERE COMES MOM!!!

AHA and now we know!!  Here's Baylee leading his 'room mates' in the "Doggie Destruction Derby"!  This must be what the 'kids' do while Mom's at work and probably why Baylee is referred to as (aka:  Pepe!)  Obviously, he's not going to get caught leading this 'gang'!

~MAX~

And, from 'down under'  (Australia) we bring you 'MAX' a "blue heeler" herding guy--real he-man type!  Poor Max is now nursing a recently operated on knee he injured jumping into the car and not at all happy that he's pretty much "confined to quarters" at the moment!  But "Mom", Perla and "Dad", Miles are keeping him under their watchful eye and it looks like Max will be up and about shortly now.

And, another lovely little beauty from the land 'down under' is Casey, Max's little sister!!  She's tried so hard to be a good little 'nurse' by cuddling up to show him how much she loves her 'big' brother--but, unfortunately Max is having none of it!  C'mon, Max!  Loosen up a little and give the 'kid' a chance, huh?  She's just tryin' to be nice!  She at least deserves a Red Cross nurses' cap for effort, right?

I need to explain that Mom's beloved Cinemax an abused poodle went to Rainbow Bridge on June 22nd and left Mom devastated beyond words. She could not cope with his loss and cried all the time. You see Cinemax chose Mom as his Mom one day when she was looking at poodles. He ran up to her and she carried him everywhere, so when she went to give him back, they said no, he is yours. He chose you and they told the story of his owners kicking him in the jaw and shattering it so badly it had to be surgically removed. He came to her with seizures and couldn't eat. They overcame these things and had 3 ½ wonderful years together and he became her heart. He still is every beat of her heart and she says I am her soul.

 

 

One night when Mom couldn't sleep she was on the computer and she can't explain what happened as her mouse went to the site where I was. It was love at first site so she applied for me. She never checked sites before and didn't want another dog. Hee Hee, Cinemax fixed her as all that know the story say Max sent the mouse to that site that night and that he picked me from all the dogs he could find.  Mom said When Max died that it would rain for 7 days, it did.  Everyday he would do cloud slide shows for Mom to say he was OK and still loved her, but no matter how hard he tried the sorrow never stopped.  Max knew he had to do something and fast so he sent me to Mom.  Everything was against her getting me as she is on disability and Dad on Social Security, but Cinemax and God
made the adoption agency overcome their fixation on these matters and I came
home on August 1st.

I wasn't here long when Mom fed me and my brothers Tine-Tine and Gremlin.  I was eating and all of a sudden I ended up upside down in the bowl!  Everyone says it was Cinemax telling me he was still number one and not to forget it.  Well since Mom has decided Max is her heart and I am her soul that has stopped.  We have a beautiful Memorial Garden
in our back yard for Cinemax where Mom has Memorials for all the animals that pass to the bridge.
